Dr. Benjamin Daniel

MBBS, MMed (Clin Epi) (Hons), BA, BCom, FACD

Dr Benjamin Daniel is an Australian trained fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a consultant dermatologist at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. He is a senior lecturer at UNSW and regularly teaches medical students and junior doctors and is actively involved in the teaching and mentoring of Dermatology trainees.

He completed a 2 year pre-dermatology research fellowship in autoimmune blistering diseases alongside his Masters of Medicine for which he received honours for his thesis. As part of his training he spent 6 months at the National Skin Centre in Singapore where he was exposed to a broad range of different skin conditions affecting Asian skin. He is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a member of the International Society of Dermatology and American Academy of Dermatology.

He has also written book chapters on common skin conditions. He was awarded the Harvey Rotstein Award for academic excellence, collegiality and professionalism through the registrar training. He has a particular interest in eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, acne, autoimmune blistering diseases, excessive sweating and pigment disorders.

​Dr. Alexis Daniel Lara-rivero

MBBS (AMC), MAIMS, GAICD, FACD

Dr Lara-Rivero graduated from the Medical School of the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2001. He then completed his Basic Physician training in 2005, followed by his Dermatology training in 2008. Soon afterwards, he worked as a Consultant Dermatologist in both public and private practice in Venezuela until he moved to Australia. From that time, he expanded his experience within the Australian medical practice in both General Medicine and Dermatology, the latter through St Vincent's Hospital and The Skin Hospital Darlinghurst. He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Dr Lara-Rivero is proficient in general dermatology and skin checks. He also has a special interest in skin manifestations of medical conditions, eczema, urticaria, occupational dermatology including contact dermatitis and patch testing, infectious diseases, tropical/neglected dermatosis, and male genital dermatoses. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
